About the role
- SAP FICO Consultant required for a hybrid role optimizing financial processes within SAP. Must have 5+ years experience in SAP FICO and Credit Management.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP FICO solutions, with a primary focus on Credit Management processes.
- Support business requirements gathering, process mapping, and fit-gap analysis for Finance and Credit functions.
- Configure and optimize Credit Control Areas, Risk Categories, Credit Limits, Credit Checks, and Credit Rules.
- Implement and maintain SAP FSCM Credit Management components (if applicable) including scoring, credit rules engines, and integration with external agencies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (SD, MM, Treasury, BI) to ensure seamless end-to-end financial and credit processes.
- Develop functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, reports, and forms.
- Provide guidance and support for system testing (SIT, UAT), data migration, and cutover activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Deliver end-user training and create documentation for system processes and configurations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend best practices for SAP Finance and Credit processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP FICO experience, including configuration and support.
- Proven experience with SAP Credit Management (Classical Credit Management and/or SAP FSCM Credit Management).
- Strong understanding of integration points with SD (Sales & Distribution) and MM (Materials Management).
- Experience writing functional specs and working with ABAP developers.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
