About the role
- Consultant Pharmacist coordinating pharmaceutical services for long-term care facilities associated with Omnicare. Collaborating with facility leaders to address pharmacy-related concerns and ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assists the facility in identifying, evaluating, and addressing pharmacy-related concerns
- Responsible for collaboration with facility leaders and staff to coordinate pharmaceutical services
- Completes clinical reviews as required by federal and state regulation
- Owns issue resolution and communicates early warning signs of potential issues
- Drives adoption of Omnicare programs and service offerings
- Collaborates with various teams to meet overall site goals and objectives
- Educates facility staff and performs specific functions required of new programs
Requirements
- Active pharmacist license in good standing in Massachusetts
- Immunization certified or willingness to become immunization certified
- Strong preference for pharmacist with additional license in New Hampshire and Vermont, or ability to obtain
- 2+ years of experience as a long term care pharmacist
- B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD degree required
- Certification in geriatric pharmacy preferred
