About the role

  • Leadership role in shaping creative vision and direction for creator-driven campaigns at Pearpop. Collaborate with teams to develop innovative and culturally relevant marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • This is a leadership role within the Pearpop Creative team, responsible for shaping the creative vision and strategic direction of creator-driven campaigns for our brand partners.
  • You'll work in close collaboration with our VP of Creative, creative strategists, graphic designers, paid media, client services, and business development teams to develop innovative, culturally relevant campaigns that deliver results.
  • Along with VP of Creative, you'll lead the creative direction for projects from concept through execution, developing innovative campaigns, digital activations, content series, and branded experiences that leverage the creator economy.
  • Clearly conceptualize and present compelling creative concepts and strategic narratives to both internal teams and clients, commanding the room with confidence and clarity.
  • Stay ahead of pop culture, UGC trends, platform innovations, and the evolving creator landscape to continuously push creative thinking forward.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted creative partner and advisor on brand strategy and creator marketing initiatives.
  • Mentor and manage a team of creative strategists, providing guidance on strategy development, creator briefs, and presentation excellence.
  • Produce structured, campaignable ideas that inspire creators while maintaining brand integrity and delivering against KPIs.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure projects align with brand guidelines, marketing objectives, and Pearpop's creative standards.
  • Take on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced startup environment, managing priorities and wearing different hats as needed.
  • Champion creative excellence and inspire our team and clients with new thinking, cultural insights, and a positive, collaborative attitude.
  • Leverage modern tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and other AI platforms in ideation and creative development workflows where appropriate.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience as a writer, art director, or creative strategist at a creative advertising agency, with deep understanding of social-first and creator-driven marketing
  • Proven track record in developing and executing strategic creative campaigns for major brands, particularly in the social media and digital space
  • Excellent conceptual and strategic thinking skills, with a portfolio showcasing innovative work across multiple platforms and formats
  • Strong leadership experience, with the ability to mentor creative talent and elevate team output
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to articulate creative vision to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Experience building and maintaining client relationships, understanding business needs, and translating them into creative solutions
  • Active engagement in the creator space with strong knowledge of UGC, branded content, and platform-specific trends
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing requirements, and thrive in a startup environment
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including strategy, design, media, and business development
  • Experience working for brands within the Tech category is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite of products, Figma, and Google products
  • Startup experience or demonstrated ability to be flexible, resourceful, and hands-on when needed
  • Knowledge of the latest ad industry trends, technologies, and best practices in creator marketing and social media advertising
