About the role
- Senior Accountant involved in corporate accounting close processes. Supporting the finance team with technical accounting issues and financial reporting in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to our North American accounting team’s Controller
- Practice and develop a broad spectrum of skills, including analyzing trends that guide business decisions
- Assisting with the monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate accounting close process
- Fixed assets, roll forwards, reconciliations, journal entries, risk management, treasury, intercompany
- Assisting in payroll, corporate budgeting, and reporting on budget vs. actuals
- Assist in researching technical accounting issues related to business combinations, foreign currency, international accounting consolidations, and revenue recognition
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 4+ years’ professional experience as an accountant, preferably performing the month-end close process
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, working both independently and within a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with clients on a regular basis
- Provide assistance with ad hoc financial tasks and special projects as required
- Knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with compliance and internal controls
- Certified Public Accountant license strongly preferred
- Proficiency with large ERP system (NetSuite a plus)
