About the role
- Accountant responsible for financial statement preparation and collaboration with finance teams at emeis S.A. in Germany, ensuring compliance with HGB standards and internal procedures.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of, or initial experience with, monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Basic knowledge of fixed asset accounting, liquidity planning and plausibility checks for affiliated entities
- Communication with our facilities, group accounting, external auditors and tax advisors
- Management of petty cash for our inpatient care facilities
- Processing payroll files and reconciling payroll accounts
- Support in other areas of our financial accounting (e.g. bank postings)
- General account reconciliations
- Authorization of payments in payment transactions
- Optional support for process optimization projects
Requirements
- Completed commercial or tax-related vocational training (e.g. office clerk or tax clerk), ideally with further qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant)
- Several years' experience in accounting, e.g. as a financial accountant or Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant)
- Knowledge of financial statements under the German Commercial Code (HGB) desirable
- Knowledge of DATEV Kanzlei Rechnungswesen advantageous but not required
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility
- Team-player mentality with enthusiasm for the work
