About the role

  • SHEQ Manager ensuring legal compliance and safety culture across multi-site construction operations. Leading ISO management system and supporting sustainable growth across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation including the Health & Safety at Work Act, CDM 2015, PUWER, COSHH, Working at Height and RIDDOR
  • Develop and maintain SHEQ policies, procedures and safe systems of work
  • Conduct site audits and inspections across UK project locations
  • Review RAMS, Construction Phase Plans and risk assessments
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Manage subcontractor H&S performance and pre-qualification
  • Plan and deliver internal ISO audits; coordinate external certification audits
  • Support environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives and KPI reporting
  • Provide HSEQ input into tenders and operational planning

Requirements

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma desirable)
  • Experience within Construction, Civils, Utilities, Infrastructure or similar sectors
  • Strong working knowledge of UK HSE legislation and CDM 2015
  • Practical experience managing and auditing ISO systems
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
  • ISO Lead Auditor qualification (desirable)
  • TechIOSH or GradIOSH working towards Chartered status (desirable)
  • Environmental qualification (e.g. IEMA) (desirable)
