About the role
- Logistics Specialist facilitating relationships with auction representatives for Cox Automotive. Processing orders and resolving customer issues while managing logistics for auction locations.
Responsibilities
- Serves as Logistics point of contact for a number of auction locations.
- Develops working relationships with auction representatives, dealers, commercial consignors and vendors.
- Quotes prices and sells Logistics services to dealers purchasing vehicles in the lanes at assigned auctions.
- Fields inbound calls and emails.
- Works directly with auction customers to expedite and process logistics needs.
- Provides updates to customers on status of orders.
- Uses problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues, escalating difficult issues that arise.
- Prioritizes daily tasks and completes tasks in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Communicates and collaborates effectively with the various departments supporting the overall business / Logistics process.
- Assists with special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
- The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline.
- OR 5 years’ experience in a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, receptive to change and able to multitask.
- Prior clerical or administrative experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service required.
- Must be able to operate office equipment (i.e., copier, fax machine, etc.).
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Communications and Organizational skills required.
