About the role

  • Lot Operations Specialist managing vehicle inventory and reconciliation tasks at Cox Automotive locations. Responsible for tracking, imaging, and safety procedures in vehicle operations.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for location’s tracker inventory and reconciliation of billing invoices
  • Manages the retrieval of trackers that require further attention (RFA) and determines corrective action
  • Responsible for returning defective trackers to Cox2M, ensuring user interface and billing accurately reflects returns and new orders
  • Monitors vehicle inventory volume and fluctuations to proactively anticipate spikes or changes in inventory levels and coordinates with Management and GCM to manage inventory levels, accordingly
  • Ability to review and comprehend the inventory analytics dashboard and adherence to project metrics
  • Proactively communicates status to Leadership and Global Inventory Control Manager (GCM); identifies opportunities to enable location to achieve / exceed lot operations goals
  • Proactively monitors and works with team(s) to address issues to prevent leakage (<2%) and maintain a health tracker inventory
  • Capture and process electronic images of vehicles.
  • Upload all pictures associated with electronic condition reports (ECR) and verify the quality and accuracy of each photograph.
  • Maintain knowledge of the MIC 2.0, Imaging Workbench Tool and ECR Image Tool.
  • Facilitate the re-imaging of any substandard images.
  • Move vehicles and stage them in a safe arrangement to their proper destinations.
  • Label vehicles with sale and routing labels to maintain accurate movements.
  • Communicate with leadership regarding the status of inventory to facilitate accurate and efficient vehicle moves.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement efforts relating to safety and efficient movement and imaging of vehicles.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field
  • OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline
  • OR 5 years’ experience in a related field
  • Safe Drivers needed; Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to drive vehicles with both standard (manual) and automatic transmissions preferred
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of flat tires, low fuel, jump starting vehicles, etc.
  • Required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear, vision abilities required to include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds
  • Must be able to walk long distances
