About the role

  • Business Intelligence Senior Analyst at Cox Automotive driving best-in-class reporting and analytics for internal stakeholders and clients. Collaborating across teams to optimize data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Amazon QuickSight.
  • Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple sources.
  • Validate and resolve data discrepancies promptly.
  • Build and implement scalable BI solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize data models and reporting pipelines.
  • Automate recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable analytical solutions.
  • Craft clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences—executives, peers, and frontline teams—simplifying complex data findings for both technical and non-technical groups.
  • Deliver insights with clarity and confidence to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Stay current with emerging BI trends, tools, and technologies to enhance organizational capabilities.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve data accessibility and usability across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science) and 4 years’ experience in a related field (Business Intelligence, data analytics)
  • Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Amazon QuickSight) and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and relational databases.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and visualization tools (Visio/Lucid, Smartsheet).
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence across diverse teams.
  • Highly self-motivated and organized with an ownership mindset.
  • Effective communication skills—able to translate complex issues into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
