About the role

  • Experienced IT Project Manager with Workday Financials expertise. Leading major enterprise system implementation with the Department of Human Services (DHS) in Atlanta, Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a Workday Financial Management and Procurement project of moderate to high complexity
  • Provide full lifecycle project leadership across Workday Financials modules
  • Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, and Procurement business owners
  • Collaborate with Workday functional leads, integration developers, third-party vendors, and internal SMEs
  • Track Workday configuration, data conversion, integrations, security roles, and end-to-end testing cycles activities
  • Assist in cutover planning, production readiness activities, and post-production stabilization
  • Conducts status meetings and assess proposed changes in scope

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or specialized training
  • Three years of IT project management experience
  • PMP certification from PMI or equivalent certification
  • 5 years' experience leading projects of moderate to high complexity (must have occurred in the last 7 years)
  • 3 years' hands on experience leading server-based application development/enhancement projects (must have occurred in the last 5 years)
  • Hands-on experience with MS Project, MS Visio, SharePoint 2013, and MS O365
  • Strong understanding of Accounting and procurement principles
  • Financial reporting structures
  • ERP integrations
