Responsibilities
Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for borrower verification and qualification services within AutomatIQ Borrower.
Lead the integration of AI/ML models, intelligent agents, and decisioning engines to automate underwriting tasks and reduce manual effort.
Translate complex underwriting workflows into intuitive, automated product experiences that improve loan quality and reduce cycle times.
Serve as the internal SME on borrower qualification workflows, including Credit, Capacity, Collateral, and Capital (the 4Cs).
Partner with engineering and architecture teams to design scalable APIs and services that power real-time verification and decisioning.
Lead agile ceremonies and ensure delivery of high-quality features through clear acceptance criteria and testable requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
10+ years in financial services or mortgage technology, with 5+ years focused on borrower verification and qualification.
Deep understanding of mortgage origination workflows, especially borrower-facing processes and underwriting decision engines.
Proven experience working with LOS/POS platforms (e.g., Encompass, Empower, Mortgage Cadence) and GSE AUS systems (DU, LPA, AIM, D1C).
Strong background in API design, data integration, and automation of underwriting logic.
Experience with AI/ML technologies, intelligent document processing (IDP), and agent-based automation frameworks is highly desirable.
Hands-on experience with agile product development, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
Proficiency in tools like Figma, Visio, or Lucidchart for workflow modeling and prototyping.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across technical and business teams.
