About the role

  • Junior lawyer in public law, handling clients in regulated sectors at Cordeiro, Lima e Advogados. Involves contract management, bidding processes, and legal advisory services.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of official letters, administrative petitions (including before Courts of Accounts), memoranda, technical reports and PowerPoint presentations on topics related to:
  • Public service concessions;
  • Provision of services to the Public Administration;
  • Public procurement and administrative contracts;
  • Regulatory law.
  • Drafting and review of drafts of administrative contracts and contract amendments, with a primary focus on concession agreements.
  • Preparation of qualification checklists, requests for clarification, challenges to bidding notices and administrative appeals within procurement procedures.
  • Issuance, organization and control of documentation required to participate in public tenders.
  • Direct contact with clients via phone calls, e-mails and messages, providing legal guidance and monitoring matters.
  • Supervision and review of work performed by interns and, where applicable, more junior lawyers.
  • Participation in meetings with clients and, occasionally, with representatives of the Public Administration.

Requirements

  • Law degree (completed) with active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
  • Minimum of 2 (two) years of experience in Public Law, with work involving:
  • Management and execution of concession contracts, including the preparation of official letters, petitions, memoranda, legal opinions, reports and contracts;
  • Matters requiring knowledge of Federal Law No. 8.987/1995 (General Concessions Law) and Federal Law No. 14.133/2021 (New Bidding and Administrative Contracts Law);
  • Participation in public procurement procedures.
  • Knowledge of Federal Law No. 11.079/2004 (Public-Private Partnerships Law) will be considered a differential.
  • Prior experience with Regulatory Law.
  • Proficiency in English, especially for reading and drafting technical documents.
