About the role

  • Business Development Manager driving sales growth within CooperVision's optical product line. Build customer relationships and manage territory for sales success in South Buckinghamshire & South Hertfordshire.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively plan territory coverage
  • Deliver a blended contact strategy
  • Build strong business relationships with customers to achieve an annual territory sales target
  • Maximise results through delivering agreed priorities
  • Set up and implement commercial business plans with customers
  • Develop and introduce new products to customers
  • Ensure outstanding knowledge of Cooper Vision’s products
  • Deliver training programmes to retail staff
  • Organise and execute clinical training in liaison with the Professional Services team
  • Form close relationships with Regional Managers and representatives
  • Represent the Company at seminars, exhibitions and meetings

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience and track record in defining and achieving sales results.
  • Awareness and ability to make a positive impact with prospective, existing customers and others in a coaching style
  • Enviable track record of achievement (target achievements) gained from organizations that demonstrate and require strong interpersonal skills to influence at all levels of management.
  • Strong relationship builder with enhanced listening and coaching skills
  • Understanding of investigative questioning and sales process
  • Highly pro-active and able to work successfully alone as well as within a team to pre-determined objectives.
  • Ability to manage a large geographical sales area.
  • Works well under pressure
  • Experience in the optical industry preferable
  • Computer literacy including Excel, Word and PowerPoint are essential.
