About the role

  • Data Engineer responsible for implementing BI solutions within DSV's global logistics network. Collaborating with international teams to enhance data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of an international project team responsible for the implementation of the Contract Logistic BI Solutions to enhance the reporting solutions in an agile development environment.
  • Design & implement BI solutions with ETL/ELT pipelines, database model, Streaming and CDC, independently/ self-contained with full ownership.
  • Provide effort estimations and implementation planning
  • Take over maintenance after project ends, i.e. implementation of Service change requests, IT security topics, monitoring, continuous improvements, etc
  • Align with other developers in remote teams and ensure high quality implementation by creating documentation of solutions, using best practices and guidelines
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovations
  • Analyze existing applications and optimize their performance
  • Transfer knowledge actively to the other team members as well as the operations & support team.
  • Take over ownership of the existing Global Shopfloor System (GSFS) Reporting Solution

Requirements

  • Graduate qualification in computer science, information systems or proven experience
  • 5+ years BI related experience (Datawarehouse design, ETL/ELT and Database (Snowflake, SQL Server) models development experience)
  • Hands-on experience in Informatica IDMC as ETL/ELT Tool as well as Kafka as streaming tool
  • Hands-on experience in Databricks as data warehousing/ governance tool
  • Know-how in CDC tools and technologies such as Qlik Replicate
  • Know-how and experience with cloud native services, tools, and architecture, in particular Azure
  • Practitioner of agile project management methods and tools
  • Experience of working in international and remote teams
  • Strong communication and coaching skills with intercultural competence
  • Analytical thinker, result-oriented and innovative attitude, with ability for systematic and rational analysis of data or issues to identify the root cause of problems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an international team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English (written and oral), with the ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
