About the role
- Internship in digital law and personal data protection at Sonepar's General Secretariat Group in Paris. Involves contracts analysis, GDPR compliance, and AI compliance program support.
Responsibilities
- Within the General Secretariat Group, made up of a team of 16 people primarily based in Paris, you will have the following main responsibilities:
- Contracts: Analyze and draft contracts, particularly IT and digital contracts; negotiate contract amendments; draft and implement contract templates; monitor the contract lifecycle using the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool.
- Personal Data Protection: Contribute to GDPR compliance for the two Sonepar Group holding companies (data mapping, privacy policy, data breach management, DPIAs, etc.); draft and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).
- AI and Digital Law: Support the design and implementation of the Group’s Artificial Intelligence compliance program; create and deploy the Group-wide AI e-learning module; draft legal memos on new digital regulations (Data Act, Cybersecurity Resilience Act, Digital Services Act, etc.).
- Miscellaneous: Conduct various legal research and analyses; develop employee awareness and training content on topics related to the missions above.
Requirements
- Your academic background provides a solid foundation in digital law, IT law, new technologies, and personal data protection.
- Prior experience in contract law is a plus.
- Fully bilingual in French and English, with the ability to draft technical documents in both languages.
- Curious and proactive, with a strong desire to learn and develop your skills.
- Known for your interpersonal ease; recognized for your commitment, rigor, willingness to learn, and adaptability.
- You enjoy working on a variety of topics.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Seeking to gain strong technical and legal skills in commercial and digital law while remaining open to other areas of expertise.
