About the role
- Experienced SAP BTP Developer at SDA specializing in providing solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform. Focus on Node.js and integration solutions within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop new and maintain existing technical solutions in an integration context using the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Use Node.js, Java, or Python to build BTP services/microservices.
- Write reusable code, perform code reviews, and maintain documentation.
- Monitor application health and debug complex issues across environments.
- Work with SAP UI5 developers to connect frontend and backend components.
- Create and execute unit tests or collaborate with QA on unit and integration testing strategies.
- Participate in architecture decisions and propose improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of backend development experience, including: 2+ years hands-on with SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry/Kyma, CAP, BTP services).
- Solid experience with Node.js, Java/or Python is an important asset.
- Familiar with SAP HANA, SAP Cloud Connector, and BTP Security (OAuth2).
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, K8s is a plus).
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills in distributed systems.
- Experience with AI or Generative AI is a strong plus.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Knowing French is considered an asset.
- Experience with SAP Builds (SAP Build Process Automation, LowCode/NoCode), SAP AI Capabilities, Integration Suite is considered an asset.
