About the role

  • Safety Coordinator leading training and safety compliance initiatives at Constellium, a global aluminium transformation leader. Overseeing safety regulations, accident reporting, and trainings for personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Organize with the Training department and deliver forklift, overhead crane and aerial work platform (MEWP) operator training for site personnel
  • Manage the administrative handling of workplace accidents and liaise with care and social security bodies (e.g., CARSAT, CPAM)
  • Ensure compliance with safety instructions: conduct forklift/crane/MEWP and tractor audits in the field while staying up to date with regulations related to mobile equipment operation
  • Serve as the site reference for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Lead and manage safety inductions for new hires (NH) and external companies/contractors (EEI)
  • Participate in occupational accident prevention: perform workshop/site visits and safety audits
  • Monitor technical and regulatory developments related to occupational risks for the facility
  • Support deployment of Constellium safety initiatives and new regulatory requirements in the area of safety.

Requirements

  • Ideally hold a Bac+2 (equivalent to an associate degree) in production, process engineering, or health/safety/environment
  • At least 5 years' experience in a field-based role
  • Enjoy delivering and facilitating training
  • Committed to continuous improvement of safety topics
  • Proficient with standard office software
  • Required certifications/qualifications: forklift operator, overhead crane operator, SST (Occupational First Aider), authorizing officer (donneur d’ordre), prevention plan management, confined space entry, working at height, H0B0 (electrical safety), Lockout/Tagout (LoTo), hot work permits
  • Results-oriented and enjoys working in the field.
