About the role

  • Managing Actuary preparing actuarial analysis and coordinating financial projections for CNO Financial Group. Ensuring robust financial governance and supporting senior management’s strategic endeavors across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare actuarial analysis for senior management’s understanding of current and strategic endeavors
  • Address the need to provide a company-wide analysis of expenses, financial projections, experience analysis, oversight of financial statement results, and support M&A activities
  • Coordinate annual reserve testing and annual financial planning
  • Assist the valuation actuary as a key resource to any tactical or strategic projection
  • Direct experience analysis supporting principles-based reserves, cash flow testing, and pricing activities
  • Support the company’s assumption setting, ensuring strong controls and effective governance
  • Maintain and enhance rating agency models
  • Partner closely with business and IT teams to develop and maintain data solutions
  • Manage and coordinate company reinsurance analysis and oversight
  • Support staff development of actuarial expertise, financial acumen, and technical skills
  • Coordination of annual stress testing analysis

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or equivalent
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) required
  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant actuarial experience
  • Familiarity with interest sensitive products
  • Prior experience with financial reporting and disclosures
  • Prior experience with actuarial reserve testing
  • Understanding reinsurance concepts
  • Strong project management skills and high attention to detail
  • Prior experience with SAS, Python, and GitHub preferred
