About the role

  • Account Executive generating revenue through new accounts and growing existing client relationships at Cox Media Group. Collaborating with sales managers to develop effective marketing plans and ensure superior client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue through the development of new accounts
  • Generate revenue by growing existing advertising revenue from current clients
  • Develop effective marketing plans to meet clients’ needs and objectives
  • Obtain budgets and meet deadlines
  • Ensure superior client relations
  • Manage sales through the entire sales cycle
  • Use of CRM sales tool for reporting and prospecting
  • Prepare and present both written and oral presentations
  • Prepare effective advertising schedules
  • Negotiate advertising rates
  • Collection of accounts receivable, as required

Requirements

  • Proven track record of digital and TV sales success in local media setting
  • Minimum of 2 years of new business development and prospecting experience required
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written skills
  • Hard-working, integrity, relationship-builder with a winning attitude
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Relationship building skills are key and candidate must have a winning, positive attitude.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
  • BA/BS degree with a minimum of three years of media sales, account management or buying experience preferred
