Responsibilities
Responsible for receiving phone inquiries from customers
Taking and entering orders
Providing information such as product technical data, pricing, scheduling, shipment, and delivery data
Providing Field Sales Managers and Territory Managers with information and assistance
Receiving and initiating telephone communications with customers
Entering orders and other forms of specific product or customer information via keyboard and data screens to the computer
Interface with expediter, credit, product standards, warehouses, and plant personnel to check deliveries on orders and quotations
Quoting prices to customers on inquiries and confirming in writing if required
Participating on project and problem-solving teams
Learning the organization's products, services, and policies through various training programs
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma
Associate's degree from two-year college or technical school preferred
Focus on efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail
Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt and successfully multi-task
Current working knowledge of Excel and Outlook
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Genuine desire to service the customer
Ability to problem solve and think creatively
