About the role

  • Hybrid Sales Representative managing clients in Northern Germany for Columbus McKinnon. Combining traditional sales approaches with digital solutions to enhance client engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and support our customers both in person on-site and via digital sales channels
  • Combine traditional field sales with digital solutions using your technical understanding and a feel for modern sales processes
  • Maintain, advise and further develop the existing customer portfolio
  • Actively acquire new customers through targeted and consistent prospecting to increase order intake
  • Plan and conduct on-site appointments with project-relevant customers
  • Provide digital customer consultations and present solutions via video calls and online demonstrations
  • Conduct price negotiations, implement price adjustments and negotiate framework agreements
  • Support trade shows and external events
  • Analyze the sales territory with regard to sales potentials, market trends and competitor developments
  • Use the CRM system professionally for documentation, project tracking, quote management and sales planning

Requirements

  • Sales experience, ideally with a focus on new customer acquisition
  • Commercial or technical vocational training and a strong technical understanding
  • Valid Class B driving licence and willingness to be regularly on the road for field sales
  • Empathy, strong closing skills and customer orientation — you quickly identify needs and win new customers with competence and personality
  • Ambition, discipline and resilience — you keep an eye on KPIs, and a “no” motivates you rather than discourages you
  • Negotiation skills and a confident manner
  • Success orientation: performance-based compensation motivates you to exceed targets and celebrate successes
  • Independent working style — you structure your sales day independently and bring a strong hands-on mentality
  • Excellent communication skills and negotiation-level German language skills, both spoken and written
