About the role
- Senior Cloud Engineer designing and improving our Internal Developer Platform with GitOps. Focusing on CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud infrastructures for the public sector.
Responsibilities
- Actively shape our Internal Developer Platform and our GitOps-based open-source tool GOP
- Play a central role in an agile team
- Ensure stable operation, further development, and scaling of our developer platform
- Develop forward-looking concepts and set standards in CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps, and cloud infrastructures
- Discuss concepts and architectures
- Identify and resolve complex issues, optimize processes, and improve the developer experience
- Support our team and our customers by sharing knowledge and introducing new use cases for our solutions
Requirements
- Vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or a degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field
- Several years of relevant professional experience
- Fluent German language skills
- Multiple years of experience in at least one of the following languages: Java/Groovy, Go, Bash, or JavaScript
- Solid experience in CI/CD processes, with a focus on Jenkins
- Advanced knowledge of Terraform or OpenTofu
- Hands-on experience with a cloud provider (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS) or an on-premises environment (e.g., OpenShift)
- Several years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Basic understanding of GitOps and routine experience in a Linux environment
- Very high quality standards for your own software development
- Self-organization and a proactive working style in a lean-agile setup
