About the role

  • Sales Development Representative at Climatiq, engaging leads and facilitating sales processes in sustainability software. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing the inbound sales funnel.

Responsibilities

  • Review and assess incoming leads to ensure they meet defined customer requirements, engage qualified prospects, and schedule next-step consultations on an Account Executive’s calendar.
  • Understand the needs of target prospects and clearly articulate the value Climatiq provides.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on prospects and interactions in HubSpot.
  • Build relationships with early-stage prospects by providing tailored education and content, such as webinars, whitepapers, and case studies, until they are ready to convert.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, engineering, and management teams to ensure product development aligns with customer needs.
  • Continuously track and analyze key metrics, including lead conversion rates, sales cycle length, and customer lifetime value, to optimize the lead qualification and discovery process.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a B2B SaaS startup in a similar role, selling complex technical products to tech-savvy buyers, or equivalent transferable skills.
  • Initial understanding of sustainability reporting requirements and technical/SaaS products, with the ability to learn quickly. You are expected to become an expert in this topic within a short period of time.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high level of ambiguity.
  • Ability to work independently as an individual contributor, while keeping in mind that you are part of a team.
  • Proactive and capable of thinking outside the box to generate leads.
  • Bonus Points:
  • Experience using inside sales tools like Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Interest in sustainability and climate tech
