About the role
- Manager of Financial Statement Review leading a team for fund clients in São Paulo. Focus on compliance, service delivery, and financial statement preparation.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team dedicated to review, optimization, and support of financial statement preparation for fund clients
- Ensure high standards of service delivery and compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP)
- Manage the company’s global technology and product teams, ensuring team satisfaction and effective management
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Lead initiatives to enhance financial statement processes through automation and system integration
- Develop, implement, and refine workflows to support seamless financial statement review
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their needs with professionalism and insight
- Work cross-functionally with operations, users, and project teams to deliver innovative solutions
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory requirements affecting financial statements.
Requirements
- Internationally recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, ACCA, CA)
- Minimum 7 years’ post-qualification experience with a Big 4 accounting firm
- Experience in auditing or preparing financial statements for investment-related entities under US-GAAP and IFRS
- 5 years Fund accounting experience working with both Private Equity Funds and Hedge Funds
- Experience and knowledge of the digital accounting Funds space is preferable
- Knowledge of fund accounting software and expert use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Power Query, Power Automate)
- Proven track record of managing financial statement preparation teams and improving process efficiencies
- Familiarity with complex financial instruments and investment funds
- Experience serving a LATAM and US client base, particularly Brazilian clients
- CFA/CA designation completed or a willingness to complete
- Expertise with Geneva, Dynamo, Mantra, and other portfolio accounting systems.
