About the role

  • Sustainability Data Analyst turning environmental data into insights for Bauer Media Outdoor Europe. Leading data collection while supporting sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives across Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual environmental data collection process across Europe, including training colleagues and ensuring robust data validation.
  • Monitor and report progress against GHG reduction targets, KPIs and external benchmarks, including submissions to the Science-Based Targets initiative.
  • Continuously improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and the efficiency of data collection systems and tools.
  • Manage sustainability data systems, working closely with Tech Europe and external suppliers.
  • Translate data into clear insights that inform business decisions and carbon reduction planning.
  • Support and develop Bauer Media Outdoor Europe’s Sustainability Champions network across 12 markets.
  • Create and deliver engaging internal communications, including newsletters, workshops and guidance materials.
  • Act as a trusted internal sustainability advisor, embedding environmental considerations into projects, operations and annual carbon reduction planning.
  • Stay up to date with sustainability trends and share insights with the wider Sustainability team.

Requirements

  • A genuine interest in sustainability and environmental topics, with a basic understanding of climate change and carbon reduction challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail, with experience handling, analysing or presenting data (from work, study or voluntary projects).
  • Confidence using spreadsheets or data tools such as Excel, Power BI or Google Sheets.
  • A methodical approach, with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Some understanding of greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting, including Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions (Desirable but not essential).
  • Experience contributing to sustainability or environmental projects in a professional, academic or voluntary setting (Desirable but not essential).
