Responsibilities
Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Databricks clusters.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, escalating as needed.
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
Collaborate with cross-functionals teams to optimize workflows.
Document processes and procedures for platform administration.
Support the maintenance of role-based access to data and features in the Databricks Platform using Unity Catalog.
Support implementation of external access controls for outside teams using service principles, SQL warehouses, and Delta Sharing.
Track unused assets for pruning.
Implement service principles and access tokens for external users.
Provide support to platform users to solve problems and facilitate work.
Support query and dashboard creation to monitor critical systems and processes.
Assist with automation of common admin tasks using Databricks notebooks.
Support management of workflow tags, cluster tags, workflow naming convention enforcement.
Assist with clusters health check and best practices implementation.
Assist with regular backup and recovery.
Participate in privilege reviews on users and resources.
Requirements
3 years of relevant experience required
Experience with Databricks preferred
Bachelor's degree is required
Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
