About the role
- Testing Senior Analyst leading User Acceptance Testing for AML applications at Citi. Overseeing testing processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for AML applications and systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and effectively mitigate financial crime risks.
- Coordinate testing activities, manage defects, collaborate with project teams, and contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes.
- Work closely with the UAT Manager to plan resources effectively for testing activities.
- Cooperate with Regional and Global UAT teams for common tests, knowledge exchange, and best practice sharing.
- Train and coach team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing testing team.
- Build and apply testing excellence and knowledge of anti-money laundering systems, solutions, typologies, risks, and industry best practices.
- Review and design test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive UAT test cases based on business requirements, functional specifications, and risk assessments, covering various AML scenarios and processes.
- Manage testing activities, including test initiation, script preparation, execution, and test closure, ensuring adherence to UAT plans and timelines.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira, MicroFocus ALM, and Zephyr. Perform root cause analysis, recommend solutions, and retest corrections.
- Provide adequate test evidence and documentation for approvals and decision-making processes.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in AML and 3 years' experience in AML applications testing.
- Min 2 years of experience in working in Technology area or Technology related processes areas.
- Experience in financial institutions and knowledge of banking products with experience in testing software applications including data flows testing and testing of mathematical and statistical models.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- English language proficiency is equivalent to B2 level (CEFR).
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Technical background and business level understanding of databases, web and client/server architected solutions, reporting software and ancillary software such as ETL tools.
- Proficiency in testing tools such as Jira, ALM, and Zephyr.
- Experience working with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies (SAFe knowledge is an advantage).
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, or Generative AI tools, including using prompts for task automation and documentation generation.
