About the role
- Senior Software Engineer at citema systems GmbH developing software systems for satellite ground systems and cybersecurity applications. Collaborating in agile projects while also focusing on software architecture and interface design.
Responsibilities
- Development of software (sub)systems for satellite ground systems, cybersecurity applications, and satellite data processing
- Design of interfaces and software architectures
- Development of unit tests and support for integration and validation testing
- Documentation for all of the above tasks
- Participation in agile projects, including coordination of development activities with the technical lead when required
- Support for the Scrum Master and Product Owner
- Contributing to the technical content of proposals
Requirements
- Degree or vocational training in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Solid experience in object-oriented software development, preferably with C# & .NET or Java
- Competence in requirements engineering, software design, object-oriented development, unit testing, software validation, and software configuration management
- Strongly advantageous: experience as a Product Owner, Docker / Kubernetes, Red Hat / Linux, development with Python / Rust, RESTful API design
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to work on-site and to travel for business
- Very good spoken and written German is required
