About the role
- Installs Engineer specializing in installation of coffee machines at customer locations. Conducting site surveys and providing excellent customer service during installations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements, including space, electrical needs, water supply, and other logistical factors.
- Carry out the installation of coffee machines at customer sites to manufactures specifications & standards.
- On occasions, you may be required to visit our head office to collect machinery or equipment and deliver it to the designated site.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the installation process, ensuring the customer is satisfied with the placement and operation of the machine.
- Identify and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the installation process, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.
- Ensure that all installations comply with health and safety regulations including PSSR regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of site surveys, installation activities, and any issues encountered.
- Work closely with other departments such as sales, installation and training teams, customer service, and technical support.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an installation engineer, ideally with coffee machines or similar equipment.
- Strong technical skills, with an understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering high levels of customer service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites.
- Desirable: Experience with coffee machines or similar beverage dispensing equipment.
- Basic electrical or plumbing certification.
- Coffeesafe certification.
- Experience using tools and equipment related to installation tasks.
