About the role
- Senior Software Engineer working on embedded software for autonomous navigation of drones. Involves software development and implementation of AI models on TI Jacinto processors.
Responsibilities
- Development of autonomous navigation for missiles/drones
- Embedded software development on the target system TI Jacinto using C, C++ and Python
- Implementation of a trained AI model on a TI Jacinto processor
- Conversion of the AI model into the Jacinto format
- Optimization and quantization of the AI model for embedded systems
- Testing, debugging and analysis of results
- Contribution to the creation and maintenance of required technical documentation
- Participation in the development of demonstrators and concepts to showcase future system capabilities
Requirements
- Degree in engineering (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical disciplines)
- Several years of experience in embedded software development
- Experience implementing AI models, ideally on TI Jacinto using TIDL and ONNX
- Understanding of real-time requirements in software development
- Several years of experience with C, C++, Ada and Python
- Experience with SoCs (e.g., TI Jacinto)
- Experience with real-time operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS, TI-RTOS)
- Experience with embedded Linux
- Knowledge of image processing is a plus
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow or similar frameworks is a plus
- Experience in defense technology is a plus
- Very good spoken and written German is required for effective communication within the project environment and with our German-speaking customers.
