About the role

  • Act as a strategic advisor by coordinating the financial forecasting planning process. Analyze, communicate, and present various solutions for major issues in collaboration with managers, according to a pre-established review plan;
  • Assess the financial impacts of contractual agreements with external partners, propose enhancements to those agreements, and create financial tools or processes to ensure compliance;
  • Contribute to translating Cirque du Soleil’s vision and strategies into financial and forecasting terms, and participate in updating Cirque du Soleil’s medium- and long-term strategic plan;
  • Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders in preparing financial reports and long-term company planning;
  • Promote compliance with the company’s financial policies and procedures and with external contractual agreements;
  • Perform financial and forecasting analyses for internal clients (e.g., comparative analyses related to workforce planning, operating expenses (opex) and capital expenditures (capex), performance, profitability, etc.);
  • Participate in creating or optimizing financial structures;
  • Model, develop, implement, and maintain financial analysis methods and tools, productivity metrics, and decision-making parameters for internal clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (B.A.A.) with a specialization in accounting or equivalent;
  • Recognized accounting designation;
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within a large organization;
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP is an asset;
  • Excellent Excel skills and proficiency with the MS Office suite;
  • Knowledge of Longview is an asset;
  • Autonomy, thoroughness, analytical thinking, and synthesis skills;
  • Ability to manage ambiguous situations;
  • Fluency in English and French, both spoken and written.
