About the role
- Junior Tax Analyst supporting calculation and bookkeeping of direct and indirect taxes (PIS, COFINS, ICMS, IRPJ, CSLL, ISS). Responsible for assisting with tax filings, compliance reviews, documentation management, audits and tax process automation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support the calculation of direct and indirect taxes (PIS, COFINS, ICMS, IRPJ, CSLL, ISS), ensuring accurate tax and accounting records.
- Assist in preparing and filing ancillary tax obligations, observing deadlines and the quality of submitted information.
- Keep tax and fiscal documentation organized and up to date, meeting audit and internal control requirements.
- Support the team in tax compliance analyses, reviewing calculations and tax classifications.
- Contribute to registering customers, suppliers, and items in the system, ensuring proper integration between platforms.
- Support the identification of tax optimization opportunities and the recovery of tax credits.
- Assist in preparing reports and analyses of the tax impact on company operations.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing required data and information.
- Participate in initiatives to innovate and automate tax processes, including solutions that use artificial intelligence.
- Support the team in validating and recording expenses in the tax ledger, verifying deductibility according to accounting and legal standards.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with SOX requirements and internal tax compliance policies.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields
- Essential experience in processing fiscal documents and tax bookkeeping
- Experience with ancillary tax obligations is desirable
- Good knowledge of Excel
