About the role
- ITGC Analyst at CI&T, testing IT general controls for SOX compliance. Seeking candidates skilled in audit and IT systems knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Perform IT control testing (ITGCs and ITACs) in accordance with SOX requirements, including tests of design and operational effectiveness.
- Analyze test results, identify control deficiencies and assess their potential impact.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to develop and document corrective action plans in response to identified deficiencies.
- Track the implementation of action plans and contribute to verifying their effectiveness.
- Assist in preparing and updating IT control documentation, including narratives and flowcharts.
- Work with internal and external auditors during SOX audits.
- Stay up to date on ITGC best practices, SOX regulations and emerging technologies.
- Promote the use of AI in operations and identify automation opportunities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to IT teams regarding IT governance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience in IT audit, IT risk consulting or a similar role, with a focus on ITGCs and SOX.
- Knowledge of control frameworks (COSO, COBIT) and SOX requirements (Sections 302 and 404).
- Proficiency in IT control testing, including the ability to identify risks and assess control effectiveness.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with multiple operating systems, databases, business applications (ERPs such as Oracle, etc.) and IT infrastructure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISM or CIA are a plus.
