About the role

  • Manager overseeing activities of general radiology at Dayton Children's, ensuring efficient operation and quality care. Evaluating patient satisfaction and developing training for staff retention and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Has 24-hour accountability for the activities of general radiology at the main campus, south campus, and testing centers.
  • Responsible for facilitating efficient operation of the department and ensuring appropriate staffing needs are planned and arranged.
  • Ensure quality care is provided by competent and educated staff.
  • Evaluate patient satisfaction surveys to develop training areas and staff retention.
  • Provide an orientation of sufficient scope and duration for new employees.
  • Provide education and training to maintain and improve knowledge and skills of personnel.
  • Participate in organizational management and administrative functions throughout the hospital.
  • Accountable for policy and regulatory compliance within the department and other imaging departments.
  • Responsible for departmental budgets, patient experience, and employee engagement.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in health sciences from an accredited program required
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • CPR certification
  • ARRT Registered in Radiography - ODH (required)
  • Radiologic Technology license (required)
  • 3+ years of experience as an imaging technologist (required)
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in relevant field (preferred)
