About the role

  • Bookkeeper/Jr. Accountant managing day-to-day financial transactions in Finance department. Involves project accounting, compliance with industry standards, and maintaining financial records.

Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices, assign proper job codes, and manage payments.
  • Generate client invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Monitor and reconcile project-related expenses, ensuring accuracy in job costing and expense allocation.
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card statement reconciliations.
  • Assist with year-end accounting tasks such as 1099 filings and preparing documentation for audits.
  • Ensure adherence to industry-specific financial regulations and company policies.
  • Handle additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed to support the Finance & Operation teams.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of bookkeeping experience in the AEC/D industry.
  • Proficiency with an accounting software (e.g., Deltek Ajera, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of project-based accounting and job costing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
