About the role

- Review invoices for factual and mathematical accuracy
- Code, post and archive incoming invoices
- Maintain and manage master data
- Manage account reconciliations
- Independently prepare monthly and annual financial statements, primarily for small and medium-sized corporations under the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Process and post ongoing business transactions (general ledger and subledgers)
- Prepare analyses and reports based on the financial statements
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training or a university/college degree in business administration
- Solid experience in financial accounting
- Confident knowledge of financial statements and HGB-related topics, including independent creation of provisions
- Direct experience in financial accounting (FiBu) or controlling and performance of monthly accruals/deferrals (e.g., prepaid expenses and accruals)
- Posting of ongoing business transactions and knowledge of VAT group taxation
- Knowledge of commercial ERP/accounting systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central
- Very good MS Office skills
