About the role
- Senior Technical Engineer focusing on security, resilience, and support in Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. Involves mentoring and optimizing systems within a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert 3rd line support for internal systems and services.
- Administer and optimise the Microsoft 365 stack (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, OneDrive).
- Act as a key escalation point for critical incidents, ensuring swift resolution and root cause analysis.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues before they impact users.
- Collaborate with IT, Security, and Development teams to ensure system reliability, security, and compliance, by maintaining and referencing clear technical documentation and SOPs.
- Respond to alerts and incidents from our outsourced SOC provider and Darktrace dashboard.
- Mentor and train 1st and 2nd line support staff to elevate service quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in 3rd line support with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Deep knowledge of Azure AD, MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, and Identity Management.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Log Analytics, and Azure Backup/VMs.
- Solid understanding of networking in cloud environments (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
- Experience with secure data exchange (e.g., SFTP).
- Familiarity with ISO27001, GDPR, and vulnerability assessments.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki and Sophos firewalls (desirable).
- Working knowledge of SQL Server (queries, backup/restore) (desirable).
- Familiarity with PowerShell, Power Automate, and Graph API (desirable).
- Exposure to Twilio and Twilio Flex is a plus (desirable).
