About the role

  • Lead Maintenance Engineer focusing on critical maintenance within a water recycling company. Engaging in process safety tasks and enhancing asset performance through collaborative efforts.

Responsibilities

  • The Lead Maintenance Engineer will play a pivotal role in the oversight and delivery of critical maintenance activities, with a particular focus on process safety critical tasks.
  • Ensure the effective day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance work.
  • Own the design, development, and optimisation of Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) routes and associated alerts.
  • Ensure all safety critical equipment maintenance activities are completed on time and in line with compliance requirements.
  • Provide mechanical and electrical technical support to Maintenance Managers and their teams.
  • Lead and undertake project work within the area, including initiatives to reduce operating costs and optimise mechanical and electrical asset performance.

Requirements

  • Possess a NVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent in a relevant maintenance discipline is essential
  • Proven practical experience of fault finding and improvement of mechanical and electrical assets through Planned Preventative Maintenance and strong Root Cause Analysis skills
  • Good understanding of Contractor management and MOC policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Water Recycling processes and associated Health and Safety requirements is essential
  • Experience using various IT programmes including SAP, IRIS and Power BI
  • Flexible approach to work as the sites operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Full UK driving license.
