About the role

  • Senior Gas Turbine Project Engineer at GE Gas Power providing technical project management and direction for Gas Turbine projects. Acting as the technical liaison for customer and EPC representatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide input and make decisions that influence major technical and financial outcomes for GEV and/or the customer
  • Provide technical project management, technical direction, and drive coordination of engineering activities and critical issue resolution for OTR-related Gas issues for all assigned Gas Turbine projects
  • Function as the technical liaison for the Customer and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) representatives
  • Ensure that the supplied design documentation and equipment comply with the contract requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement in project execution
  • Manage the Engineering Budget and provide quarterly Estimate at Completions (EACs) to Finance
  • Support resolution of cross-functional design complexities and work to resolve technical issues
  • Mitigate engineering schedule issues and take preventative action to avoid delivery delays
  • Present project issue resolutions periodically to upper management, highlighting risks, and creating action plans to remedy the risks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university OR a high school diploma/ GED with 10 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, and/or Field Engineering related to Gas Turbine Projects
  • Ability and willingness to travel, as required ~10%
  • Ability and willingness to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Leadership-quality communication skills, both verbal and written
