- Lead regular training sessions for social-first best practices for TikTok, YouTube and other social platforms.
Requirements
- Minimum seven years recent experience in a social news environment.
- Strong journalistic skills and experience working in a newsroom, particularly in a breaking and live environment.
- High-level knowledge of legal and ethical issues related to journalism.
- University degree or equivalent.
- Ability to assign, manage and motivate a highly collaborative team.
- Extensive knowledge of social media platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, WhatsApp and other platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of audience-listening and metrics tools and how to interpret them.
- Substantial experience writing, copy editing, fact-checking and producing social content.
- Experience in producing news video optimized for digital properties.
- Ability to manage large volumes of fast-moving information and ensure material is directed appropriately.
- Excellent news judgment and ability to work effectively under deadline pressure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
