Responsibilities
- Maintain the QMS.
- Organize all laboratory audits and respond to any deficiencies.
- Coordinate analyses and compile data packages for all performance evaluation (PE) samples received by the laboratory.
- Provide corrective action statements to agencies or clients in regard to PE samples.
- Manage the internal audit program.
- Gain and maintain ISO 9001/AS9100 lead auditor certification.
- Monitor laboratory activities to verify conformance with established laboratory SOPs.
- Maintain records of Performance evaluation samples (PETs), audits, state certification programs.
- Help establish control charts (pareto) and evaluate data quality for laboratory processes.
- Review all Standard Operating Procedures and or technical documentation and track them through the signature loop.
- Monitor end of life cycle for procedures and technical documentation stored in the client’s repository.
- Assist with the development of quality control manuals and procedures, and participate in the development of new methods, procedures, and systems.
- Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
- Recommend corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.
- Support and initiates quality program to support laboratory work efforts, aligning company quality standards with the client, and other government guidelines.
- Reviews, analyzes, and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
- Provides final acceptance and inspection activities on services provided by the laboratories.
- Provide KPIs for the QMS.
- Analyze and monitor KPIs to ensure QMS is meeting the intended goals.
- Ensure Routine Use of Quality Control (QC) Check Samples.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience/combined education.
- 5 years direct professional experience.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
