Responsibilities
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases and supporting infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability
Lead migration efforts from on-premises Oracle databases to Oracle Cloud, including integration with cloud-based storage
Automate and enhance workflow efficiency by transitioning cron jobs to Oracle Database Jobs
Monitor database health, tune performance, and manage storage capacity, addressing bottlenecks as needed
Implement and manage strategies for backup, restoration, disaster recovery, and data security
Administer Oracle GoldenGate for data replication and synchronization
Direct database changes, review programs, and provide technical support to programmers, analysts, and users
Ensure database interfaces and reporting comply with accessibility standards
Perform logical and physical data modeling, and maintain standardized data definitions
Assist with database software installation, testing, and selection
Requirements
10 years of experience in database administration
8 years of experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL
8 years of experience in database design, analysis, and performance tuning
8 years of experience designing enterprise applications and/or services
8 years of experience creating technical and functional design documentation
8 years of experience within the software development life cycle using Agile methodology (e.g., Scrum)
8 years of experience with multi-tier system/application development (e.g., SOA, Microservices, 3-Tier applications)
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team
Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
