About the role

  • Commissioning Manager responsible for coordinating job site installation and startup of equipment for Caterpillar dealer. Managing contractor interfaces and guiding technicians on site.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the job site installation and startup of equipment.
  • Work closely with Project Manager’s at CMCo and customer locations.
  • Conduct site inspections and reports.
  • Interface with contractors.
  • Oversee start-up of equipment.
  • Guide CMCo technicians while on the site.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years' experience in construction management.
  • Previous experience managing the installation of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Thorough understanding of installation of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple start-up sites at one time.
  • Capability to read wiring diagrams and layout drawings.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Ability to travel and work hours as required to meet customer needs.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in mediation and negotiation.
