About the role

  • Business Analyst I engaging with stakeholders to document healthcare data requirements. Working with cross-functional teams in data analysis and validation within the US healthcare domain.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and data requirements within the US Healthcare domain.
  • Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional requirements, data requirement documents, and supporting artifacts.
  • Perform data analysis using strong SQL (Snowflake or similar platforms) to validate requirements, analyze source data, and support business questions.
  • Analyze healthcare claims data (medical, pharmacy, eligibility, provider) to identify trends, data gaps, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Translate business needs into clear data requirements, including field definitions, logic, transformations, and business rules.
  • Work closely with data engineering, reporting, and analytics teams to ensure accurate implementation of business and data requirements.
  • Support UAT, data validation, and reconciliation by validating outputs against business rules and source data.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA.
  • Provide explanations and walkthroughs of data outputs and metrics to business users to support informed decision‑making.
  • Act as a key liaison between business and technology teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.

Requirements

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst in the US Healthcare industry.
  • Strong experience working with health insurance data, including any of them:
  • o Claims adjudication
  • o Eligibility and enrollment
  • o Provider data
  • o Clinical data
  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and requirement confirmation (Snowflake or similar data platforms).
  • Proven experience in requirement analysis and BRD preparation, with the ability to clearly articulate business and data needs.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
