About the role

  • Engineering Manager leading Technical Publications team for Honeywell’s Commercial Fire business. Overseeing documentation projects and ensuring compliance with industry standards in fire safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of technical writers and publication specialists.
  • Define and implement documentation standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Oversee documentation projects from concept to delivery.
  • Ensure all technical publications meet industry standards.
  • Drive automation and digital transformation in documentation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • 7+ years in a technical role leading engineering design and engineering documentation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of technical writing principles and documentation tools (e.g., Adobe FrameMaker, XML/DITA)
  • Strong understanding of technical manuals that accompany engineered products
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of global regulatory standards for product design (ie., UL)
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards for fire safety products
  • Familiarity with digital platforms for content delivery.
