About the role
- Head of Engineering responsible for technical planning and system selection of Solar-Tracker systems. Leading the development of AgriPV solutions in a growing EPC company.
Responsibilities
- Overall technical responsibility for solar tracker systems and supporting structures in the AgriPV context
- Planning, design and conceptual development of tracker systems, mounting structures and AgriPV plants
- Selection, evaluation and technical approval of suitable PV tracker and steel construction systems
- Definition of technical standards, specifications and system architectures
- Ensuring quality, performance and lifetime across the entire lifecycle
- Responsibility for maintenance, servicing and lifecycle concepts
- Technical assessment of site, soil and system risks
- Close collaboration with engineering, EPC and construction teams
- Building up the department and supporting the optimisation of relevant processes and areas
- Technical interface to banks, investors, manufacturers and expert assessors
Requirements
- Degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering, mechatronics or a comparable field
- Relevant experience in the utility-scale PV sector or ideally in the AgriPV sector
- Demonstrable tracker expertise (system design, mounting structures, mechanics)
- Strong understanding of planning, design and technical system responsibility
- Experience with lifecycle, maintenance and O&M topics
- Ability to present technical matters clearly and in a structured way
- Experience with tracker manufacturers, EPCs or project developers is an advantage
- No mandatory requirement for disciplinary management experience
- Very good German and English language skills
- Willingness to travel
