About the role

  • Contract Management Lead managing over 4,000 supplier contracts for the Department of Transport and Planning. Driving strategic uplift in contract management performance, capability, and governance for optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and deliver opportunities to further improve how DTP manages these contracts.
  • Design and deliver a program of contract management improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver key initiatives, specifically targeting strategic contract performance.
  • Develop the next iteration of the DTP Contract Management Framework.
  • Partner with senior managers, operational teams and project stakeholders to implement and embed change across the organisation.
  • Provide valuable advice on contract management practice and support the ongoing development of the Contract Management Framework.
  • Coaching and mentoring to uplift internal capability in contract management.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in managing strategic contracts across their lifecycle
  • Expertise in designing and delivering improvement programs in large complex organisations
  • Advanced understanding of contract governance, dispute resolution, and supplier performance management
  • Expertise in risk-based contract decision-making and contract variation strategies.
  • Familiar with predictive contract analytics for trend forecasting and supplier risk identification.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
