About the role
- Contract Management Lead managing over 4,000 supplier contracts for the Department of Transport and Planning. Driving strategic uplift in contract management performance, capability, and governance for optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Identify and deliver opportunities to further improve how DTP manages these contracts.
- Design and deliver a program of contract management improvement initiatives.
- Develop and deliver key initiatives, specifically targeting strategic contract performance.
- Develop the next iteration of the DTP Contract Management Framework.
- Partner with senior managers, operational teams and project stakeholders to implement and embed change across the organisation.
- Provide valuable advice on contract management practice and support the ongoing development of the Contract Management Framework.
- Coaching and mentoring to uplift internal capability in contract management.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in managing strategic contracts across their lifecycle
- Expertise in designing and delivering improvement programs in large complex organisations
- Advanced understanding of contract governance, dispute resolution, and supplier performance management
- Expertise in risk-based contract decision-making and contract variation strategies.
- Familiar with predictive contract analytics for trend forecasting and supplier risk identification.
