Contribute to postgraduate and Honours supervision within a vibrant and growing Cyber Security Research Group
Collaborate closely with industry leaders including IDCARE.org and other major partners
Support contract research, contribute to competitive grant development, and foster industry research collaborations
Establish a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals (Academic Level A)
Participate in project discussions and contribute to teaching of undergraduate courses as required (Academic Level A)
Supervise students and manage employee performance feedback and training (Academic Level A)
Conduct high-quality research and publish in top international journals, collaborative work with IDCARE Cyber Security Clinic (Academic Level B)
Translate applied research into community engagement (Academic Level B)
Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits (Academic Level B)
Requirements
Completion or near completion of a PhD in the area of cyber security, computer science, software engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, mechatronics, information systems, mathematics or applied cryptography
An emerging profile in research in cyber security, cyber resilience or cyberpsychology
Evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences
Evidence of contributions towards successfully obtaining external research funding
Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and contributions towards external activities
Expert knowledge in the interdisciplinary fields of cyber security, cyber resilience or cyberpsychology (Academic Level B)
Strong knowledge in experimental design and statistical/empirical analysis (Academic Level B)
Technical capability in behavioural and organisational cyber security, and desirable experience applying AI or machine learning to cyber security contexts (Academic Level B)
Proven publishing ability across technical, sociotechnical and social/political science (Academic Level B)
Ability to establish effective relationships and to represent and promote academic discipline at a university and wider community level, including industry, government and professional bodies (Academic Level B)
