About the role

  • Administer AI tool governance processes by moving requests through approval workflows, serving as primary contact for staff, convening Governance Committee meetings, identifying process bottlenecks, and maintaining comprehensive records of approved tools and risk assessments; updating our intranet regularly; advancing SoPs on AI tools by coordinating among various teams
  • Coordinate project management for AI for Business Development and AI for Partnerships initiatives by tracking deliverables and milestones, facilitating cross-team coordination, organizing meetings, and communicating status to stakeholders; drafting updates for broad communications
  • Support the AI Community of Practice by creating meeting agendas, identifying and coordinating with speakers, curating and disseminating AI news and resources, managing knowledge repositories and knowledge posted on our intranet, facilitating connections between staff, and tracking engagement metrics
  • Administer the Technology for Program Central Demand Pipeline by supporting intake processes, routing requests to appropriate teams, collecting feedback to identify patterns, preparing briefings for demand review meetings, and tracking request status
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration by building stakeholder relationships across IT, METAL, programs, and country offices, translating between technical and non-technical audiences, identifying alignment opportunities, and escalating issues to leadership
  • Contribute to strategic planning and reporting by providing data-driven insights on demand patterns and governance trends, preparing dashboards and reports for leadership
  • Promote responsible and ethical technology use by championing responsible AI practices, integrating ethical considerations into decision-making, raising awareness of risks in humanitarian contexts, and supporting development of guidance on responsible AI use

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, International Development, Project Management, Public Health or related field required
  • 5-7 years of progressive professional experience in project coordination, technology management, program operations, or related fields required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in the humanitarian, international development, or nonprofit sector required
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects or workstreams with competing priorities
  • Experience with governance processes, demand management, or portfolio management preferred
  • Previous experience working in or with IT departments or technology teams strongly preferred
  • Experience in defining business requirements
  • Familiarity with product development lifecycle
  • Understanding of artificial intelligence technologies, applications, and implications required
  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, responsible AI principles, and associated risks and ethical considerations.
