About the role

  • Specialist in communication for behavior change at IRC, promoting women's empowerment in Central African Republic. Engaging communities, developing communication strategies, and monitoring project effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and monitor communication strategies.
  • Promote the empowerment of women and girls and strengthen human capital.
  • Encourage the adoption of positive social behaviors within target communities.
  • Develop context-appropriate messages in French and Sango.
  • Disseminate messages through community channels (local radio, participatory dialogues, visual and audio materials).
  • Lead community mobilization and train facilitators of Safe Spaces and youth clubs.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, NGOs, and project partners.

Requirements

  • University degree (minimum BAC+4 / four years of higher education) in communication, social sciences, public health, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in behavior change communication/community mobilization, preferably in projects related to gender, youth, or social protection.
  • Completed at least two similar assignments.
  • Excellent command of French and Sango (spoken and written).
  • Experience designing programs that target adolescents, and specifically women and girls.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing community communication campaigns.
  • Skills in community mobilization, participatory facilitation, and monitoring & evaluation.
  • Ability to work in fragile contexts and to coordinate with diverse partners.
